Supported Transitional Employment Program Services

What is STEPS?

STEPS is an acronym for a variety of program services that lead to employment.  These services include transition programming in partnership with Guilford County Schools, a summer internship program, and supported employment.  A variety of community partners support the STEPS program including Vocation Rehabilitation, Lifespan, Inc., Guilford County Area Program, High Point University, United Way of High Point, and many local businesses.

to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining skills and support for employment that will lead to their highest level of self-sufficiency and integration into their community.
