Advocating With People With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Who are we?
|
The Arc of High Point was formed in 1954 by people concerned about the lack of services provided to children, adults, and friends with disabilities. The Arc is comprised of parents, educators, professionals, community citizens, and people with developmental disabilities who are working toward a common goal of improving the well-being of persons with developmental disabilities through advocacy, research, and education. The Arc of High Point has been awarded National Accreditation through the Council on Quality and Leadership. CQL Accreditation measures the organization’s direct impact on the lives of people receiving services from the perspective of the people themselves.
