Advocacy and Governmental Affairs

A primary role of The Arc of High Point is to serve as an advocate for improved quality of life for all individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

 The Arc of High Point communicates with local, state, and national lawmakers so they can make informed decisions regarding the well being of North Carolina’s citizens with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The Arc works diligently to preserve basic human rights and to assure that necessary programs and services are available.

Through individual, group, and systems advocacy, The Arc of High Point promotes opportunities for living, learning, playing and working in the community. For national level information, see The Arc of the United States website.
